“ENEL – 02” produces 2% hydrogenated oxygen (hydrogen mixed gas) specified by advanced medical care B Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in normal use.
Indications: post cardiac arrest syndrome (limited to those in which self heart beat resumes out-of-hospital or emergency outpatient after cardiac arrest in the hospital and cardiogenic cardiac arrest is presumed).
Outline of technology: Inhalation of 2% hydrogenated oxygen into the ventilator for 18 hours in an intensive care unit for patients whose coma continues even after resumption of self heart rate, among patients after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. During this time, intensive care in accordance with the guidelines will be conducted. The primary endpoint is the percentage of nerve outcome good after 90 days and the secondary endpoint is 90 day survival rate, survival time, modified Rankin Scale (mRS), GCS, and Mini – Mental State Exam (MMSE).
